Meet the Founder
Courtney Kearney, CPSM
Mom & Data-loving Marketer

With over 18 years in the A/E/C industry, Courtney's experiences are many and her knowledge vast. The love for the A/E/C industry entered her blood at a young age. Her father was a project manager

SMPS (Society for Marketing Professional Services) has been a staple in Courtney's career so in 2012 she decided to give back to the professional organization and joined the SMPS Fort Worth board as Membership Director. She served two terms in that role, took a year off and then returned as Communications Director.

Through SMPS Courtney earned her CPSM in 2013 denoting her a Certified Professional Services Marketer. This put her in a distinguished group of professionals who have made a commitment to professional excellence, career advancement, and an ongoing pursuit of knowledge.

Courtney is proud to be named as the 2016-2017 SMPS Fort Worth President Elect, 2017-2018 President and 2018-2019 Past President. Leaving a mark on the chapter that has become family to her is a priority for Courtney. She hopes to live up to the legacy of all the amazing people that have grown the chapter into what it is today!

In 2013 Courtney made the switch back to construction and became the CRM Manager at Hill & Wilkinson General Contractors (HWGC). There she reimplemented the CRM and worked closely with the marketing staff to mentor and grow a strong department. She also worked with executive leadership and business development personnel to develop/edit external content and collateral.

December of 2015 brought Courtney much change when she decided to leave the corporate world. After six months of doing consulting on a trial basis she discovered she could make it a career and be successful doing what she loves, helping people.

On May 17, 2016 CKearney Consulting (CKC) was established and Courtney set out to make all her dreams come true. In the words of Walt Disney, "All our dreams come true if we have the courage to pursue them."

for a construction company in Dallas, Texas. She loved going to the jobsites with him and would tell anyone who would listen what her dad built.

As soon as she turned 14, Courtney wrote the HR department asking for an internship. She loved her time working in every department of that company no matter what they had her doing. She came back every summer during high school to soak up as much experience as she could.

After high school, Courtney attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in speech communications. She moved back to DFW and rejoined the Beck team as a Marketing Coordinator.

Courtney spent the next five years learning all she could about marketing and what it takes to be a dedicated marketer. In 2009, she changed roles to focus more on Cosential, the client relationship management (CRM) tool.

In the fall of 2011, Courtney formed the DFW Cosential User Group and became a thought leader in the world of CRM. She has written white papers, led round table discussions at conferences and given presentations on the topic.

2011 was also the year Courtney joined Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) as the CRM Database Manager. At SSR, she was able to lead training and provide consistent communication to keep all 14 offices on the same track. She worked with senior leadership, marketing and business development personnel to optimize the use of the database.
